Parm and Harleen invited me to photograph their gorgeous family and baby Hukam in the comfort of their home.
Little Hukam was 6 weeks old at our photo session and he was such a sweet little pea! He was so good to me and even gave some of his beautiful smiles and after fall asleep. I used different props like basket, teddy hats, beautiful backfrops and wraps, which I have brought with me. We had images taken in a few locations like home, cherry blossoms and a park by a lovely. I aim to photograph my little newborn babies between 5-15 days old, while they are still really sleepy and curly! Many people ask me why we have to have baby asleep. Well the answer is very simple! When little babies are awake especially just at the beginning of their lives, they tend to either be looking for food or soothing. We want newborn baby to be calm and relaxed – and sometimes that does happen while baby is awake – and we get an amazing eyes wide open shots! But for the posed images we need baby to be asleep.
In this photo shoot, I was able to use some gorgeous browns, grays, and pastel blues, with a pop of green! We worked with what parents liked to create a lovely variety in their photo gallery!
Parent shots as always are very important – that is an incredible memories! I aim to produce perfectly timeless images with a touch of the simplicity which will remain current for years to come!

I really enjoy the newborn sessions at home. These sessions are the most natural and organic way to capture the first moments with your baby. What I love are the natural surroundings of a family’s home and photographs that show how these first days of real life with your baby look like. The obvious advantage is that you don’t have to leave the house. The professional photographer comes to you and brings all the equipment needed. I realize that it can be difficult to get organized when you leave the house with a newborn baby, so if you decide to take newborn photos at home, you can save yourself the hassle.
It’s also very important that we discuss your expectations of the photos. Occasionally parents look at my newborn photo gallery and ask if I could recreate some of these photos in their home. However, this will most likely not be possible, as the studio setups vary greatly in terms of light and space.
Usually, family photos taken in the home environment can look very candid and require much less posing compared to a typical newborn photo session. I need to know about your home and the natural light you have in the house. I don’t tend to bring my studio lighting and will use the natural light in the photos.
